Here you can see some of the modifications I have done to my Kat
Well, if you're a member of the Katana Planet and have a Suzuki Katana then you know you have a mods page!
As you go through the mods you can just feel your wallet getting thinner :)

Rear Hugger
This is a rear hugger that I got from Carnell Motorcycles in the UK. Unfortunately they don't make a rear hugger for pre-98 Katanas, so what I did was order one for the newer 98+ Kats. The newer Katanas swingarm is slightly longer than the pre-98's so the bracket supplied will not work. A bracket must be fabricated at a machine shop for this to work.
Vance & Hines Exhaust
This is the SS2R full exhaust system by Vance & Hines. It adds excellent sound and performance but does make oil changes a real bitch! The extension pipe from the header to the silencer makes for oil drain plug access a problem. When it comes to looks and sound, the Vance & Hines SS2R exhaust is a winner!
Fender Eliminator & Vortex Sprocket
This is a fender eliminator kit from Competition Werkes. It is not as easy as it looks to install and you should set aside about 2 hours to do it.
My Kat also has a Vortex 50 tooth sprocket. A must have for the low end acceleration that the Katana lacks.
Bar Ends & Yoke Protector
The bar ends are stainless steel instead of aluminum for added weight, which equals more comfort. The yoke protector (also known as triple tree cover) is carbon fibre and was purchased from Fibre-Lyte in the UK.
Clear Markers, Headlight & Ignition Advancer
The clear markers for the turn signals front and back is a nice touch. They were ordered from Dennis Kirk.com The headlight is a H3 plasma blue bulb and really looks great at night. What can't be seen in any of the photos is the Vance & Hines 5 degree ignition advancer that is installed. While there only is a very small horsepower gain, the throttle response is much more crisp and engine warm up time has decreased. Good cheap mod!
Bone Stock
The Suzuki Katana is a great looking bike right out of the factory. When aftermarket mods are added, it just makes it that much better!
